People living with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) often have questions that can be difficult for others to answer:
“How will this affect my life?”
“Am I going to feel this way forever?”
“Will this get easier?”
“I just wanted to help one person… I wanted to let them know, if they feel scared, it’s ok; they are not alone”

The PAH Initiative Ambassador Program encourages and supports those impacted by PAH by sharing real stories from individuals living full lives despite the challenges that come with it. Your experience as a patient or caregiver can help educate and inspire others navigating life with PAH.
Provide your contact information via the button above and someone from our Ambassador team will get in touch to tell you more about the program and answer any questions you may have.
Qualified candidates who become an Ambassador are compensated as part of the program.
[Gwen]: Being a PAH ambassador is all the world for me.
[Lauren]: I remember being newly diagnosed and not having a lot of outlets at the time. Being a PAH initiative ambassador is a very cool position to be in because you are in that position. You can inspire. You can do your best to promote the best in the next person.
[Gwen]: And also to let them know that you can make it through this. And with all the support and all the research
[Lauren]: and watch these people live their lives and what they do in their journeys and their experiences and sharing all of that was so powerful to me that I wanted to become an ambassador.
[Gwen]: People are watching you go through this and if you can, you know, hold your head up and go through it, other people be looking at you and saying, “If she can do it, I can do it.”
[Lauren]: Having somebody to hold you to a certain standard that you set yourself, no matter how small, is important. And sometimes once you get the momentum moving, it just comes naturally after that. So, don't be discouraged, but move forward.
[Gwen]: Being a PAH initiative ambassador is all that I hope to to be.
[Lauren]: You have no idea who you're going to connect with, the topics that will come up from it, the friendships you will form, unless you're able to tell your journey and share it. So, I think being a PAH initiative ambassador is a very cool position to be in.
[Gwen]: Cuz I get to show people that you can survive this illness.
[Lauren]: Cuz every journey is different and then special and very inspiring in its own way.
Gwen and Lauren share how becoming PAH Initiative Ambassadors has helped them connect with others and inspire hope throughout the PAH community.
“I felt like there was a purpose for me because I’d been through so much,” Laura says. “I could be an inspiration to others with disabilities, to show that they can do whatever they set their minds to. If they want it, they can make it happen.”
